Implementation of the project focuses on measuring physical-acoustical characteristics of selected species of wood. The chosen woods are spruce, ash and selected fruitwoods which are most used in the manufacture of musical instruments. Experimental measurements will be carried out with the experimental apparatus "MEARFA" i.e. resonant dynamic analysis and a second method which we use the modal analysis of the harmonic excitation using Chladni signs. The aim of paper is describe and analyze the impact of artificial aging on physical and acoustic characteristics. Aging of timber will be implemented in a xenon test chamber. Influence of changes in UV radiation, heat and humidity changes will be melted samples of spruce and ash. Fruitwoods do not exhibit these effects.
