Analysys of the tree species growth and increment under influence of climate changes

The project is focused to gradient and spatial quantification and analysis of radial increment changes of selected tree species (Picea abies Karst, Abies alba L., Fagus sylvatica L.) in the growing area of Poľana Mountains. The analysis will help mainly to examination of climate changes influence to tree species growth and management measures for the needs of adaptive planning in forest growing on highly productive sites. Gradient analysis includes altitudinal and environmental gradients. Quantification and analysis of recent climate change influence upon tree species radial increments will be realized employing dendrochronological procedures in connection with forest growth modelling by means of tree growth simulator Sibyla.
