The project is based on the intention of an applicant and implementer of results, Bučina DDD, s.r.o. Zvolen, to decrease formaldehyde emission from adhesive bonded wood based materials. The project is aimed on developing and testing new effective modifications of polycondensation adhesives to reduce their toxicity caused by hydrolysis and release of formaldehyde from bonded products.
Results will be presented as the set of new knowledge about potential utilisation of several progressive modifying agents to reduce emission and the content of released and free formaldehyde from adhesive bonded wood based panels to reach the product properties complying with the current and upcoming European legislation after 2015.
