Updating of forest condition and optimisation of the plan of forest management activities using SIBYLA growth simulator

The project deals with the possibility of using SIBYLA forest growth simulator for assessing forest condition for forest management and planning under changing environmental and management conditions. The project is aimed at further development of the empirical part of SIBYLA model, which has been developed by the authors of the project for several years. The project falls within the long-term objective of developing forest modelling in Slovakia and focuses on selected problems. The methods and approaches of linking several modern technologies with the aim to increase the precision of the information on forest condition, which are the basis for the optimisation of the plan of forest management activities and multipurpose forest utilisation, will be tested in the trial area of the Forestry Enterprise of Technical University Zvolen.
